Flyers and Practice [REPEAT]

As you can see, our flyer corps has begun strategically placing flyers on various objects… moving buses… parking lot signs. We’re also practicing. Yep. Practice #4 is tonight. Set lists will be created, outfits will be discussed, and potential flying objects are on the agenda.

If you don’t have them yet, pre-sale tickets are now available online for the Haywood Reunion Concert & Silent Auction benefitting the LIVESTRONG Foundation on Oct 11. Tickets may be purchased by clicking here. If you think you have a service or item that would make a great auction item, please let us know. We are currently in need of gift cards to restaurants or stores. Maybe you have some unused ones lying around. Remember, the Continental Club’s maximum capacity is around 300 people, and we can’t guarantee that walk up tickets will be available. They should be, but I don’t want anyone left out in the cold (dreaming of cold fronts…).

Our concert in Bryan/College Station on Oct 18 is also picking up steam. While we won’t have an auction, we’re hoping to raise money through direct donations, and at the door. Just 3 days ago, I confirmed that Mr. JC Odom will be able to make it to the show. Why is this important? Well, JC holds a very important place in the history of Haywood. Besides his persistent willingness to help us out through the years, JC was also the man who famously inserted “Bitch” into Mickey’s. Maybe that means nothing to you, but it means a whole lot to us. Without JC, Mickey’s would be just another song about malt liquor. Expect a chair on stage for JC.
